🖤 1. General Information
Aetherveil Creations is a one-woman studio based in Balegem, Belgium, creating handcrafted jewelry and chainmail accessories made from high-quality stainless steel and 17K gold-plated components.
Each piece is designed, handwoven, and packaged with care by Cathy Janssens, owner and creator of Aetherveil Creations.
By placing an order, you agree to the terms and policies outlined below.
📦 2. Shipping Policy
All ready-made items ship within 2 business days after payment confirmation.
Custom or made-to-order pieces (including preorders) require a minimum of 7 business days of crafting time, unless otherwise stated in the product description.
Shipping partner: Bpost
- Belgium: approx. 2 business days
- Europe: approx. 2–10 business days
Shipping outside Europe may be possible on request.
Aetherveil Creations does not currently ship to the UK or USA due to customs restrictions.
If you select untracked shipping, Aetherveil Creations cannot be held responsible for lost or delayed packages. For secure delivery, tracked shipping is always recommended.
Studio pickup is available in Balegem.
You’ll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours after placing your order (on workdays).
Pickup hours vary but are generally: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — 13:00 to 19:00.
💸 3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Each Aetherveil Creations piece is handcrafted with care.
❌ Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase if:
- The item has not yet shipped, and
- Production has not yet begun (for custom or made-to-order items).
After this period, cancellations are no longer possible.
💔 Returns & Refunds
Due to the personal and hygienic nature of jewelry, returns are not accepted, except if the item arrives damaged or faulty.

Include photos of the issue, and I’ll work with you to find a solution — repair, replacement, or partial refund, depending on the situation. The refund value is never higher than the amount spend on the order.
🛠 4. Repairs & Adjustments Policy
Aetherveil jewelry is designed to last — but if something happens, I’m here to help.
If a clasp breaks or a connection loosens, repairs are provided free of charge.
You are responsible for returning the piece to me; return shipping back to you is complimentary.
Adjustments (such as resizing) can also be done after receiving your order, but this comes at the customer’s expense.
You are responsible for both the shipping back to me and the shipping back to you after the adjustment.
Please measure carefully before ordering to minimize the need for resizing.
Different sizes are available for most designs and can be selected directly in the product listing.
If your preferred size is not listed, please mention it when placing your order or by submitting a Custom Order Form.
Some sizes may come at a slightly higher price due to the additional rings and time required to weave the piece.
If a piece arrives too small, the customer can send it back for adjustment, but will be responsible for both shipping costs.
It’s always in your best interest to measure carefully before ordering to ensure the perfect fit.
If you’re attending an event where I’ll be present, you may bring your jewelry for on-site repairs or adjustments. These are always free of charge.

Custom work is available all year round.

Each request is reviewed individually — you’ll receive a personal quote, timeline, and confirmation before I begin production.
Once confirmed, custom orders are non-refundable, as they are made specifically for you.

Each Aetherveil piece is woven by hand, link by link.
Small variations in weave pattern, tension, or finish are part of the handmade process and make every item unique.
These details are not considered defects — they are a mark of craftsmanship and individuality.

Any personal data you provide (such as your name, address, or email) is used only to process your order or respond to inquiries.
Your information is never sold or shared with third parties, except as required for shipping (e.g., postal services) or legal compliance.

If your message concerns order pickup, you’ll receive an email confirmation within 48 hours after purchase (on workdays).
